Senior Partner Alica A. Slaughter has over 20 years experience as a personal injury trial lawyer.
- University of Missouri Columbia School of Law, Columbia, Missouri, 1987 J.D.
- Drury College, Springfield, Missouri, 1984, B.A.
Ms. Slaughter received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, magna cum laude, from Drury University in 1984 and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1987. She began her legal career with a large commercial defense law firm in Dallas, but quickly realized that she did not want to spend her legal career representing large corporations. Instead, she wanted to use her law degree to represent individuals and to make a positive difference in someone’s life who had been injured by someone else’s negligence, so she opened her own law practice devoted exclusively to representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases.
Ms. Slaughter uses her extensive experience to represent her clients in all types of personal injury matters, ranging from wrongful death and serious, complex injury cases to soft tissue injury claims, and everything in between.
Ms. Slaughter relocated to Southern California in 2003, and she loves living and working in San Diego, where she and her husband are raising their two children.
